Omega counselling client Testimonials

Counselling is a particularly private process by nature and bound legally by confidentiality. We get more positive feedback then we can ever publish but, occassionally, a client either lets or asks us to publish their experience with Omega Counselling. Their is no doubt for us in the team that this feedback inspires and motivates us to keep on helping people struggling with mental health issues like depression and anxiety and work towards improving our clients mental well being.

  • Having counselling with Rachael was more insightful than I ever thought possible.

I learned a great deal about myself and the sessions felt really tailored to my needs. Each session felt like I was chatting with a friend and the sessions were so validating of my feelings and experiences.

I would thoroughly recommend Rachael for anyone looking to receive counselling - it helped me immeasurably.

  • I came to Rachael during a difficult time in my life. I was dealing with stressful personal problems relating to my partner, as well as my father’s ill health.

[Rachael] was there when I needed her -I could offload - and have constructive conversations, helping me to gain perspective and peace.

I never felt judged, I was always emotionally held by Rachael, no matter what I was going through.

I’d highly recommend her as a counsellor after my positive experience

  • I had considered myself to be abnormal from my colleagues and kept being made to feel different.

Working through this with Rachael,I was able to gain confidence and felt able to stand in my own power instead of comparing myself to others.

I was able to challenge the view I had of myself, as well as the negative way I was viewed by others. Wow!

It’s made a massive difference to my life.

  • “From the moment I spoke to Rachael initially on the phone there was something about her voice that soothed me and I knew I would feel comfortable to reveal my vulnerable side to her.

Her approach was honest and comforting....finding the true reasons why I act the way I do and have certain beliefs.

[Rachael] knew the answers for my growth and some of them terrified me but I trusted her enough to take extremely big moves to change my life.

I left my job and walked out of my relationship all in one day. It was something I always wanted to do but was terrified.

If it wasn’t for Rachael I would still be in those 2 toxic environments and I wouldn’t be the incredible woman I am now 6 months on.

  • I had weekly counselling sessions with Rachael for a year.

I found Rachael really easy to talk to and open up to. She is really vibrant and has really positive energy.

During our sessions, I felt that I was speaking to someone who truly understood what I was going through and who really wanted to help me get better.

I left every counselling session feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders!

  • After a devastating loss I sought counselling to help me deal with this traumatic time.

Rachael immediately made me feel comfortable with her authentic compassion and empathetic listening, helping me deal with the emotional loss and feeling sad.

I value my sessions as Rachael is giving me the confidence to take steps forward in rebuilding my life - she genuinely cares.

She is a credit to the profession and I can highly recommend her.

  • I built a strong and trusting relationship with Rachael through talking therapy. Over 8 months, Rachael and I worked through big events in my life that I have never talked to anyone about.

Instantly, I felt I could open up to Rachael, feeling comfortable in her company and relaxed in the environment she welcomed me to.

As our relationship grew, my confidence and self-worth became more apparent in my life.

I was able to make life changes that honestly I don't think I would have had the courage to do if it wasn't for Rachael.

Rachael comes with her whole self to the sessions. She is professional in her approach but makes sure she is not a robot and can have a good giggle along the way.

I can't recommend Rachael enough, I'm sure I will be returning in the future.”

  • It took me years and eventually I found out I needed courage to initiate counselling sessions. I was quite lucky to find the right person for me from the very first try.

Working with Rachael in the past 6 months helped to build back up my lost confidence, self esteem, and most importantly focus on myself.

I qualify myself as a person who doesn't trust easily. A connection was created, making me feel comfortable and in a safe environment from the very early stages of counselling.

Thinking out of the box, Rachael helped me to see things from a different perspective, find the right reasons behind certain fears, solve problems and all this at my own pace.

I think Rachael is a true professional, knowledgeable, certainly passionate about what she does and a remarkable individual. Thank you for everything!

  • Rachael’s warm and inviting personality gives you the foundation to explore your worries and thoughts safely.

Her support and empathy is the pillar to lean on as you question your thoughts and actions.

She doesn’t only invest her time in you, she also invests her support.

Rachael has been an invaluable sounding board for me.

I would recommend her to anyone.

  • After having an unhelpful experience with counselling in the past I was sceptical about trying again with a new counsellor.

However, after seeing Rachael my perception changed. I found her to be empathetic but not patronising. Very approachable and non - judgemental.

Allowed me to go at my own pace. And I always felt calmer and grounded after each session.

  • [Rachael], probably the most impactful feature of our sessions has been learning how to relate to someone in a way that's new to me.

[But] something miraculous happened: in that room, talking to you, I have learned that it's ok to have different opinions, it's ok to have disagreements.

I learned how to resolve conflict in a healthy way!

I have learned, with you, a healthy way to be 'myself', I think.

Over time I went from feeling panicky about disagreements to excited by the opportunity for clarity.

It's probably not a stretch to say that you've been a role model for speaking plainly and confidently, as well as kindly...... another really striking feature of my sessions with you was kindness, support and empathy.

So, what all this means is that ....... I've been armed with a new set of tools to deal with what life throws at me. You've helped me to gain clarity.

I now believe that I can reasonably expect to live my life in a way that feels good for me.

    I can trust myself.

You're really bloody good at what you do, and I know it can't be easy! I've learned so much from you, and I really hope we keep in contact.

  • Dear Rachael,

    YOU WERE RIGHT!!!

I wanted to send you this email to let you know that you were right about everything you “predicted” when I made the decision to move

When my mother found out that I was gonna be singing in a band, she said I’m embarrassing her and she didn’t raise me for this. She was not supportive at all. However, every time I was on my way home after the rehearsals, I would think,

“Rachael would be proud of me. She would be so proud.” And that kept me going.

I also managed to get a job in TV, I work part time in TV …. and I teach kids piano, singing and violin on the other days. In the evenings, we have band rehearsals. …..

I can’t believe I used to spend 8-9 hours in [an] office ... thinking that’s the only option I have.

I also moved in with my boyfriend a few weeks ago, and it’s the best relationship I’ve ever been in.

It’s all so peaceful and comforting.

All in all, I wanted you to know how well you “saw” everything even before it happened. How well you read me and how thankful I am for all the advice you gave me… which wasn’t even advice, you were just showing me what I wasn’t seeing.

I’m thankful for our sessions, they stayed with me through the darkest of times this past year.

  • Hello Rachael, just to say thank you for all that you’ve done for me over the past couple of years- you have helped me navigate some really difficult times and I really value and appreciate.

Rachael- you’ve made it really easy to trust you!

I got a good vibe the first time we talked and my instincts were right. I shall miss you enormously and would love if it was possible for us to keep in touch

  • So I always leave your sessions feeling lighter and positive, with some focus.

And today was no exception, I was excited, but then I got half way to work and then a rush of emotion came and I couldn’t stop crying.

I need to just let go and slow down and you are helping me realise this.

I’m just messaging to say thank you. You [are] a lovely soul

  • One more thing. Thank you for caring, for your compassion and for seeing me and believing in me.

    I’m glad I chose you.

You’re good at what you do and your heart is GOLD

  • Rachael, wanted to send a message to say thank you for all your help and support these past 7 months.

I feel like a different person from who first sat down on your couch, and am so greatful for our sessions together.

I’m sure I will be back one day, but for now I feel so much more strong and capable and I think a lot of it is down to you listening to me.

    Thanks so much for everything
